End of the 2026 season

The Almtal family pool — see you next summer

Since the 2026 season we have been running the much-loved outdoor pool in Grünau im Almtal. As the family who has been running the neighbouring Gasthof Zaunerhof for years, we have known this pool since childhood — and we do everything we can to keep it the place where locals and visitors enjoy summer together.

The 2026 season ended on 9 September — thank you to everyone who spent the summer with us! We expect to reopen in mid-May 2027; the exact date will be announced here and on Facebook. During the season the pool is open daily from 8:00 to 22:00, weather permitting.

What you'll find here

Over 500 m² of water, a sunny sunbathing lawn, plenty of shaded spots — and a buffet right at the poolside for whenever hunger strikes.

Sport pool

Heated pool with starting blocks — perfect for lap swimming and sport swimmers.

Adventure pool with slide

The water slide ends in the adventure pool — fun for water lovers of all ages.

Children's pool

A dedicated shallow area with a small slide — safe and lovingly designed for the youngest swimmers.

Bar, buffet & breakfast

Breakfast from 8:00, plus snacks, drinks and small dishes at the poolside. Bar & buffet daily until 22:00 — a cosy spot to linger.

Sunbathing lawn

Catch some sun or relax in the shade — the lawn offers both, with mountain views included.

Access & comfort

Showers, toilets and changing cabins — barrier-free with assistance.

Tariffs as set by municipal council resolution of 18 March 2025 (2026 season). Subject to change for 2027. All amounts in euros, including VAT.

1 Almtal-Combi: the season pass also grants entry to the outdoor pools at Vorchdorf, Viechtwang and the lake at St. Konrad.

The pool sits right in the centre of Grünau im Almtal — easily reachable from Salzburg, Linz and Gmunden. From Gasthof Zaunerhof you can walk over in just a few minutes.
